What columns are available and how do I sort?

Default columns, custom fields, and sorting in contract views. Learn which columns are available by default, how to sort the table, and how custom attributes appear in views.

Contract views let you choose which columns appear and how the table is sorted.

Available columns

  • System fields – Title, contract type, parties, effective date, expiration date, status, governing law, value, and other extracted or standard fields. Your admin may have renamed some (see Field labels in Settings).
  • Custom fields – Any custom attributes defined by your admin (e.g. "Region", "Owner", "Risk tier") can be added as columns.
  • Quick glance – Fields you've set as "quick glance" in your preferences may be available or highlighted in the view builder.

Add or remove columns when creating or editing a view. Column order is saved with the view.

Sorting

  • Click a column header to sort by that column (ascending/descending). A second click often toggles direction.
  • Sort order may be saved with the view in some configurations, so returning users see the same order.
  • You can typically sort by any visible column (text, date, or number). Sorting applies to the current filtered set.

If you don't see a column you need, your admin may need to add it as a custom field or enable it for views. Check Contract view preferences in Settings for default column behavior.
