How do I view the contract PDF?

If a source document is available for a contract, you can open it in the contract detail PDF/document viewer and use it alongside extracted fields and tabs.

Ways to open the contract PDF

1) From View Contract (toolbar)

• On the Contract Detail page of any contract, click View Contract in the toolbar (file-contract icon).
• You need the Access source contract permission.
• The document opens in a side panel on the right.

2) From a field’s Source link

• For many extracted fields in Contract Details, click Source to jump directly to the supporting text in the contract PDF.
• The viewer opens and may highlight the relevant section/snippet automatically.

3) Automatically on contract open (default behavior)

You can configure your personal contract detail behavior so document viewing is available by default when opening contracts.

Go to Contract view preferences and configure default document behavior:

• If no source document is available, you may see an error (for example, “No PDF file available for this contract”).

Using the viewer

• Scroll through pages.
• Zoom in/out (where supported).
• Search text inside the PDF (where supported).
• Review highlights in context when opened from Source.
• Resize the panel to balance PDF vs. metadata tabs.

Closing the viewer returns you to contract detail context.
The in-app PDF view is read-only; edit source documents in your connected document system or source repository.
