Clauses for gold standard comparison

There is no separate Clauses tab for comparison workflows. Clause-level comparison is available from the contract detail toolbar and in the Chat sidebar after running a gold standard comparison.

How clause comparison works

Use Compare with Gold Standard from a contract to evaluate clause alignment against your organization’s approved language.

• Open a contract and click Compare with Gold Standard in the toolbar (code-compare icon).
• The app runs clause-level analysis and opens the Chat sidebar with a Gold Standard Analysis view.
• Results show where clauses align, partially align, or differ from your organization’s standard so reviewers can prioritize edits and negotiation points.

You need the Compare with Gold Standard permission to run comparison.

Adding clauses from a contract

When reviewing extracted contract fields in Contract Details, you may see an Add Clause action button.

• Use Add Clause to promote useful language from a contract into your gold standard workflow.
• Depending on your setup and permissions, this can add to an existing standard clause set or help start a new one for that contract type.
• Admin permissions are required for managing shared organizational standards.

Managing gold standard clauses

Gold standard clause and contract management is handled in Gold Standard and the Clause Library.

• Use Manage Gold Standard to create, edit, and maintain your gold standards and contract types.
• Manage Clause Library to view, edit, add, restore, and generate clauses by contract type. The Clause Library also offers a comprehensive Version History of your clauses.

For comparison workflows, users typically need View operational terms and Compare with Gold standard permissions.
