Ask sidebar and gold standard comparison

Use the AI Ask sidebar and compare to gold standard clauses. Ask questions about the contract and see how its clauses align with your admin-defined gold standard.

From a contract detail page you can ask questions about that contract and compare clauses to a gold standard.

Ask sidebar

  1. Open a contract detail page.
  2. Click Ask a Question in the toolbar (chat icon) to open the Ask sidebar. You need the use_chat permission.
  3. Type a question about the contract (e.g. “What is the notice period?”).
  4. The AI answers using this contract’s data; you can ask follow‑ups in the same thread.

The Ask sidebar uses the current contract as context, so answers are specific to that contract.

Gold standard comparison

  • Click Compare with Gold Standard in the contract detail toolbar (code-compare icon). You need the compare_with_gold_standard permission.
  • The comparison runs and the Ask sidebar opens with a Gold Standard Analysis tab showing how this contract matches or differs from your organization's gold standard.
  • You can also run Compare with Gold Standard from Contract Views by selecting one contract and using the same toolbar action.
